Hi thank you for taking my question. I am permanently disabled I'm presently on long term disability and I'm receiving a Disability Pension. My union who I haven't heard from in many many years decided to give me a call and ask me when I'm coming back to work. I am formed this Union I am permanently disabled. 5 days later I get a phone call from a HR representative from the company asking me my condition and when I'm going to be returning to work. As a mention I'm permanently disabled I'm not able to do any work. I'm very nervous as to why the union would call me and I'm very nervous as to why HR called me to inquire about the same issue. LTD insurance realizes I'm disabled and I fill out a form once a year they seem not to have an issue. I'm not sure why this Union and the company are pushing me to find out what's wrong with my condition I am quite scared as I depend on my income however people have to realize I am in a wheelchair and permanently disabled why is the union and the company so concerned about my condition do they have a right to call me and ask me those are questions. Thank you for providing the service

They likely just want to know if you plan to go back to work. If you don’t because of your disability then it’s likely that your employment will come to an end. Your union should be in a position to advise you on what you are owed if that happens.
