My husband passed away. He was a dentist with disability insurance. He put in a claim 4 years ago when he was diagnosed with cancer. He received very little after filling out alot of paper work. As he was turned off by the paperwork & ill he did not fill out further insurance paperwork. Now they say they closed the file and so I am not entitled to two years of benefit. But because I called the insurance when my husband went into the hospital they will cover this past year. Can the two years of benefits be claimed? the insurance is saying no.

Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help if he has passed. He was the holder of the policy and to force the insurer to pay legally he must have been the one to do it. I am sorry.
