I am approaching the 2 year mark for being on LTD. They terminated me the day I attempted a return to work but my LTD claim was still approved. I have gone for an Independent Medical Examination that went terribly. It felt like an interrogation and just added to the anxiety and depression I have been off for. I don’t have official word back yet but I fear they will cut me off saying it was a pre-existing condition. While this was going on, I recently received my final settlement for my termination and the employer had their lawyer create a release. I was advised by my lawyer to sign it. Do I have any recourse now to fight it if they now cut me off LTD? I feel like I was given terrible advice by the lawyer.

I am very sorry that you are going through this. We will help if they cut you off. Call or email me ASAP at my contact info below if that happens.
