I have been on LTD for over 2 years. If I do not return to work I will be let go due to frustration of contract. Can I return to work against my doctors advice in order to save my job or does my work need a document from my doctor stating I can return to work. I cannot afford to lose my job even though I am very ill.

You need to check with your employer as to whether they need a letter from your doctor clearing you to go back to work.

I don't understand why this claimant cannot remain on LTD for more than two years (i.e. why not until 65?).
He can stay on LTD beyond 2 years. His question dealt with his employment and frustration of contract.
