Add Comment Question: I've been permanently disabled for the past 6 years. Every so often my insurance company sends me a form to fill out. It's quite frustrating this time they sent me a form wanting to know my personal history and Credit Bureau rating and giving them authorization to ask the credit bureau questions. This is quite bizarre maybe or may not this is not my expertise could you tell me if what they're doing is correct as I mentioned I am deemed permanently disabled. Why do they want to check my credit rating.? Answer: That is indeed strange to ask for that specific information. The issue however is a practical one for you. If you decline their request they may use that to cut off your benefits. We would help you if that happened but it’s a question of whether you want to go down that road.
