I am currently on a WCB claim. I am now getting forms from my company/insurer for LTD. I am wondering if it mandatory or beneficial to start LTD when I am on WVB? Can they force me onto LTD?

Generally speaking, it's important to apply for LTD, because there are deadlines for applying. If you decide not to, and you're later cut-off WCB, you will likely have missed the LTD application deadline, which could compromise your claim. (If you're approved for more than one benefit at the same time, make sure they know about each other so that there is no double-payment.)

If you're denied or cut-off LTD, please let us know and we'll connect you with a lawyer for a free consultation.
