It was my understanding that if I'm terminated while on LTD, my employer will have to pay me severance related to "frustration of contract" in an amount much less than what is indicated in the Severance Pay Calculator (Statute vs Common Law). The difference is 7 months and 20 months respectively.

Thank you for your question. You only get the reduced amount of it is clear you will never be able to go back to work again. If that is not clear and your employer terminates, not only are you owed full severance, you may be owed damages under the Human Rights Code.
