I have been receiving LTD benefits through SunLife and medical drug coverage based on employer paid premiums for 15 plus years due to auto accidents - now learned medical RX terminated (without notice ie letter, email) as requested by employer even though completed and approved for LTD through SunLife. I know that even with a possible error with coverage (card) or employer switching companies that this small company will not reinstate my benefits. (Yes, I still have to call to confirm). Have I been an employee for all this time (since 2003) - no termination papers - in which case what are my options?

At this point after 15 years of being off work if the employer lets you go then you would be entitled to your minimum entitlements as an employee under the Employment Standards Act. Unfortunately we cannot force the employer to pay for your benefits going forward.
