I have currently received a letter from LTD Co-Operators ins. Been on LTD for 2 yrs in March. They are giving me until Dec 10 th to appeal the decision of discontinuing benefits based on they think I could do some kind of office work. I have been a tradesman my whole life. I have reapplied for CPP disability . My Doctor has documented several conditions. LTD provider wants new medical information. If you can not see a specialist for months, how are you supposed to get new information in that time frame? It's like you inevitably time out from even having a chance of providing Specialist reports in such a short time (30) days. Should I get my Doctor to provide a letter stating my current condition? Or am I going to have to seek legal advice? If I get approved for CPP disability would the Insurance provider need to continue paying me LTD?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to consider my options.

This is quite common for insurers to do and they should NOT have stopped your benefits. Don’t bother appealing. Appeals are useless. Please contact me at my number or email below and we can discuss your questions and options (at no cost).
