If I receive a substantial gift of money from a relative, or inheritance, would that affect my LTD benefits? I’m on full LTD with Parkinson’s (early onset), and no longer able to work.

Your LTD policy will outline all of the income that insurers are allowed to take credit for (meaning they would affect your LTD benefit). If it's not listed in your policy, your benefits shouldn't be impacted - if the insurer tries too, we can help. I recommend asking your insurer for a copy of your policy and reviewing that, as each policy is different.
