If I get better from my original disability and now have Parkinson's, do I need to go back to work if asked because it's not the original illness?

Typically, if you remain disabled from working, you should be entitled to continued LTD benefits. If you're not able to work due to medical condition, even if it's not the original condition, your insurance benefit should continue.

If you run into any issues at all, please contact us ASAP and we will help (our phone number below), or contact our disability specialist, Rebecca, at rebecca.permis@stlawyers.ca if you have further questions.
