Hi there I've been disabled for 9 years when I got disabled I applied for Canada Disability Pension I've worked and paid in to CPP for 25 years my disability has paralyzed me I'm not able to do any work Canada Disability Pension is not paying me the maximum amount allowed they are paying me less now I've paid into CPP my entire life of 25 years at a very good annual salary I believe they owe me 9 years back pay that I'm entitled to less what they paid me they are still paying me I'm permanently disabled I've not reached the age of 65 yet I understand it automatically turns into a regular CPP when I turn 65. Should I receive the maximum disability Canada pension disability payment because I'm paralyzed and not able to do any work it's a categorize severe injury does the severity of my injury and the fact I'm not able to do any work allow me the maximum payment of Canada Disability Pension plus my years that I've worked. I called Canada Disability Pension office and they were quite rude with me on the phone. I quote you get what are back office wants to give you this was quite insulting. I replied back no I should be receiving what is the guidelines and what my doctor has filled out indicating to Disability Pension that I am permanently disabled he even used the word paralyzed which is what I'm struggling if I am owed back pay because of my disability can you assist me.
CPP has their own methods of calculating any benefits owed based on contributions, money earned, and the age in which you started receiving pension. If you don't believe they are paying you accurately, you can file an objection with the CRA.
