Hello on our current trip to Mexico we had an accident whereby my husband fell and the plastic surgeon said he required surgery on his nose. A claim was sent in through the insurance company and they said their medical team will review to see if it s an emergency and if not he can fly back to Canada and have it there. The surgeon feels it should be done before he flies in case it bursts mid air. We are in limbo waiting do you have any advice? Thanks

Advise the insurance company of what the doctor recommends and hopefully they approve it. Either way you/your husband should do whatever is medically necessary in the circumstances and make a legal claim against the insurance company if they deny this expense wrongfully. If you purchased this travel insurance policy through a broker or travel agent, get then involved as well so that perhaps they can assist you with your insurer.
