For the clause in the long term disability agreements that has to do with any occupation at the 2 year mark. I know it doesn’t mean any job but based on training, education and experience language in LTD policies who would be in a better position to stay on LTD claim based on they have already been approved for CPPD. Person A with a master’s degree and teaching experience or Person B who dropped out of college/university?
Thank you.
It would depend on not only their educational background, but their experience. They also have to be able to earn a commensurate amount of money (to their pre-disability salary), which is typically 60-80%. That said, very generally, if you have more education, you tend to have more options for finding new work (and perhaps less physically demanding work).
