Apparently my LTD insurance through work is a five year policy which is up in 11 months. I am currently also on CPP Disability. Can they actually cut me off LTD. I am 55 and have alot of pain. I had a hip replacement which is now worse than before. I cant live on $1170 a month which is what I will get once I no longer get LTD. My husband works and makes fairly good money but I dont get his money.

Most LTD policies pay to age 65 if you continue to pass the total disability test. That said, there are some policies that have hard caps before age 65. I'm going to contact you directly to see if there is in fact a 5-year cap on your specific policy.
