I have been on LTD since 2017, and have been approved by the insurance company through my workplace benefits until age 65 (10 more years). However, I’ve received notification from my employer that the drug/dental/etc benefits will now only be given to LTD employees for 24 months, therefore they are notifying me I only have benefits for 24 more months. I require these benefits to treat my medical condition. Would I not be grandfathered in since I’ve been off since 2017?

This is actually an employment-law question, as opposed to an LTD-law question, so I recommend using our free employment questions website (www.terminationquestions.com) as a starting point instead.

That said, regarding funding for your medications, you can look into applying for the Trillium Drug Program at: https://www.ontario.ca/page/get-help-high-prescription-drug-costs.
