Hello I have been off work for 10 months due to health issues, we do not have LTD, our company was sold last July and within the last few months most of our employees have been let go, I don't know when I will return to work or if I will, they have changed the whole computer system which would mean I would have to be retrained, in conversation with the HR I have said offer me a pay out , it fell on deaf ears I have been with the company for 43 years, can I request them to pay me out I know they would rather me tell them I am not returning , I would appreciate if you could advise me on this matter thank you Jennifer

You need to find out if they are letting you go ASAP. If they let you go while you are off on medical leave they may be breaking your human rights and would have to pay you damages, along with significant severance. Contact me at the number and/or email below if you find out that you are being let go ASAP and we will help.
