Does an employer have to pay for cost of living increases to my LTD benefits. If not how do I get ahead being played the the same amount every month year after year as things get more expensive.

It depends on your specific LTD policy. If the policy contains a cost of living increase provision then you should get it. Otherwise the insurer doesn’t have to increase your monthly amount.
