I have been disabled for the past 9 years I'm presently on LTD and Canada Disability Pension my employer recently has contacted me and keeps on can contacting me inquiring about my disability. I've been inundated with phone calls from colleagues I used to work with all of a sudden they want to know what's going on with me after 9 years. In my mind alarm bells are going off why all the sudden the interest of my disability from acquaintances I don't even know and from the companies HR department. As I stated I'm presently on LTD. My doctor has notified everyone that I'm permanently disabled why am I being harassed by the company and by employees who I don't even know. Should I be concerned. This is quite stressful on top of my stressful disability.
If you’ve been away from work for 9 years then your employment contracted is likely to have been frustrated which means that the employer is likely going to cut ties with you. That might explain the sudden increase in activity.
