I have been asked by my insurance company to submit an application for CPP Disability benefits. I am currently on LTD, with the expectation that I will be returning to work within the next couple of months. My questions are: Will CPP disability benefits paid affect or reduce my CPP pension? Am I required to apply for CPP disability or can I refuse?

You should check with CPP directly regarding the effects of getting CPPD now. If you don't apply for CPPD, the insurer may estimate how much they believe you could be receiving from it and reduce your LTD payments accordingly, since they get a credit for CPPD you are entitled to receive.
